Staff Accountant

Our team thrives on innovation, speed, and collaboration. As we scale rapidly, we’re looking for an exceptional Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position will play a key role in managing daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), account reconciliations, journal entries, vendor communications, and invoicing. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of relevant experience and a solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
- Ensure proper coding and approval of expenses
- Prepare and process weekly electronic payments
- Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
- Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and send customer invoices
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payment or delayed payment
- Apply customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances
- Assist with cash application and bank deposits
- Reconciliations:
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- General Accounting Support:
- Assist with journal entries and accruals
- Help prepare internal financial reports
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial accuracy
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, including AP and AR.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
